Two new Humsafar Express trains are soon going to hit the city which will increase the rail connectivity between Pune and Jabalpur. As per the sources, these Humsafar Express trains will be running weekly between the cities.

Spokesman Sanjay Ghosh said that one pair of weekly superfast Humsafar Express train that will make its move from Santragachi to Jabalpur will be introduced by South Eastern Railway from August 8. Besides this, SER from August 11  will launch another pair that will run between Santragachi and Pune.

Our sources have reported that every Wednesday, The 20828  Santragachi-Jabalpur Humsafar Express will leave Santragachi at 8.25 pm and will reach Jabalpur on Thursday at 3.55 pm. While for the opposite route the 20827 Humsafar Express will leave Jabalpur every Thursday at 8.55 pm and will arrive at Santragachi on Friday at 4.45 pm.

Talking about the facilities the South Eastern Railway has provided 16 AC three-tier coaches and two luggage vans in the train which will stop at the midway stations of  Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Raigarh, Bilaspur, Shadol and Katni South stations between Santragachi and Jabalpur.

Santragachi-Pune Humsafar Express(20822) on the other hand will leave every Saturday at 6.25pm for Santragachi and will arrive in Pune every Monday at 02.45 am. While following the opposite route, the Humsafar Express(20821) will move from Pune every Monday at 10.30 am and will reach Santragachi every Tuesday at 6.15 pm.

This train will also consist of 16 AC three-tier coaches and two luggage vans and will stop at Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Jharsuguda, Bilaspur, Raipur, Durg, Gondia, Nagpur, Bhusawal, Kalyan and Panvel stations between Santragachi and Pune, Ghosh said.
