The OnePlus 3T is making the rounds on the internet and though the official launch is not forthcoming rumors point out that it could happen sometime in December. Some upgrades could be in the offing, and the manufacturers would like to tap into the premium flagship market.

The device is rumoured to boast a Snapdragon 821 chipset and will be based on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS platform. There are murmurs that the device will also feature Sony’s IMX398 sensor and it will be one step above OnePlus 3’s Sony IMX298.

The IMX 398 has been seen in a few devices like Oppo R9S. The Oppo R9S was a camera centric device which came with a 16MP rear camera and 16MP front camera setup. The OnePlus 3T will be rubbing shoulders with its superior sensors at the back and a front facing camera of 8 megapixels.

The OnePlus 3 already has a pretty imposing camera, and it is one of the best in the industry. It features the PDAF, EIS, f/2.0 aperture, 4K recording and RAW image support.

The handset will have an internal storage capability of 64GB, but it cannot be expanded. The device may not have a headphone jack, but there is a possibility that it might not be removed. Recently OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei queried on Twitter if users liked the headphone jack and 88% said they liked the feature.

The next iteration of the OnePlus 3T will probably have a metal unibody with Dashboard charge support. The screen is in all probability 5.5 inches, Optic AMOLED display, with Full HD resolution. It could boast a 3,300mAh battery. The device will be featuring 6 GB RAM.

The premium section has seen a changeover with many new devices on offer like the Google Pixel and iPhone 7 series. However, the OnePlus 3T which carries a price tag of $479 which comes out to 32,100 could provide an attractive choice when compared to the other brands in this segment.
