Huawei Mate 9 vs OnePlus 3T: Huawei recently unveiled its premium flagship smartphone Mate 9 and took the market by a storm. However, so did OnePlus with its latest successor, OnePlus 3T. But what happens when we come to comparing these two devices and choosing which one is better? Let’s take a look

Design and features

When it comes to design, both Mate 9 and OnePlus 3T sport an almost similar look. However, OnePlus 3T’s 5.5-inch display is slightly more slender and elegant looking than Huawei Mate 9’s 5.9-inch display. Both of these hold a decent possibility of surviving a fall especially given the fact that they both feature a metal unibody. The smartphones are quite naturally resistant to scratches and scuffs. Another drawback that both the devices hold is the fact that neither of them is water-resistant. Thus, don’t get them too moist.

Another primary attraction that comes embedded in both these devices is its fast fingerprint sensors. One can unlock the device without having to fiddle with passcodes through the use of the secure fingerprint sensor. Both are accurate. As far as colour variants are concerned, the Huawei Mate 9 comes in Silver/White and Dark Grey colours and the OnePlus 3T comes in Gunmetal Grey and Soft Gold colours. Depending on your preference, you can opt for any of the colours.

The screen quality

OnePlus 3T boasts of a vibrant 5.5-inch AMOLED screen. However, at the same time, Huawei’s Mate 9’s 5.9-inch IPS LCD display isn’t quite as vibrant. Users can enjoy quality, crisp experience with the former as compared to Huawei Mate 9.

Performance-wise

The OnePlus 3T features a large 3400mAh battery with Dash Charge technology that enables charging the device fast. It allows users to get their power back within an hour’s time. On the other hand, Huawei Mate 9 comes packed with Kirin 960 processor and further offers 4GB RAM – both of which are quite in demand these days.

Camera

OnePlus 3T sports a professional 16MP rear camera that can capture sharp, detailed pictures in most conditions. The Huawei Mate 9 on the other hand, sports a dual-camera set up with 12MP coupled with 20MP lenses that work together to produce crisp pictures.

The verdict is subjective. Buy that which suits your budget.
