One of the much out-branch of tech giant Sony is its Walkman series. The company was among the first to introduce portable audio cassette/tape players back in 1970. Little did they, they would be setting out a legacy of Walkmans to follow. Gradually, as time passed by, Sony started sharing their Walkman technology through its mobile phones as well. Forty long years later, the company is back with its latest addition to its Walkman series and this time around, it is called Sony NW-A35 Walkman.

Sony recently took the wraps off its latest Walkman – the NW-A35 in India. The Walkman starts at a price of Rs 15,990. Interested buyers can purchase the Walkman from leading Sony centers across the country, starting from December 1 at a price of Rs 15,990.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the latest Sony NW-A35 Walkman comes packed with S-Master HX digital amplifier and support for Direct-Stream Digital (DSD) formats. The company has put in substantial amount of effort into its audio-recognition technology as well. The NW-A35 Walkman is specifically designed to understand and learn the environment ambient sound to detect the most effective noise-cancelling mode for that particular situation. The Walkman is NFC-enabled, which boosts its compatibility level.

According to the company, the NW-A35 Walkman features an extended battery life and can support up to 45 hours of continuous playback for MP3 files and up to 30 hours of playback for Hi-Res audio. These features only tend to boost the user’s audio experience.

The NW-A35 Walkman features a 3.1-inch, touch-screen display and on the storage front, offers 16GB of internal memory. Users even have the option of expanding the memory up to 128GB via MicroSD card option. According to a recent report, the Walkman’s battery takes approximately four hours to completely charge.

The NW-A35 Walkman is only available in black color variant as of now.
