The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has announced a permanent price cut of Rs. 1000 on its Mi A1 smartphone. Mi A1 is now available at Rs 13,999 both at Mi.com and Flipkart. The company had launched the device back in September with a price tag of Rs 14,999. Mi A1 is the first Android One device from the company with high-end specs. Last week, Flipkart sold the device at Rs 12,999 during a flash sale event. Also, the customers can now get an extra 5% discount on purchasing through Axis Bank’s Buzz Credit card on Flipkart. The Xiaomi India announced this price cut on Sunday through the twitter.
The detailed specifications of the device show that it has a metal body. Also, it features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone gives a premium look. There is dual lens camera with a 12MP lens. One having wide angle while the other having telephoto lens. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back.
There is an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The onboard storage of the device is 64GB. The users can expand the storage further through dedicated memory card slot. The device offers a dedicated dual SIM slot with support for 4G VoLTE. Xiaomi has also integrated some of the MIUI features along with stock Android in this device. The company has used MIUI camera interface instead of stock Google interface.
