To increase its customers’ database, Xiaomi has launched two new services in India. These are Mi Music and Mi Video apps. The company has brought these new services after the partnership with many content partners. The company has announced the launch of these two services at Mi Pop Play event in Mumbai. The announcement shows that Xiaomi is bringing various value-added services to the local users of India. The company says that Mi Music app will be available from today. Mi Video app will be available from next week across the country. Here, it is worth mentioning that these apps are not new to Xiaomi. Rather, these are refreshed and revamped versions of the existing music and video players.

Mi Music offers a lifetime integration of music streaming services. It will also provide the option to store the local music onto your devices. You will need an annual subscription for storing music. Mi Music will partner with Hungama music to offer more than 13 million songs in 11 different Indian languages. One of the most attractive features of Mi Music is the Dynamic Lyrics feature. This feature plays the lyrics of various songs like Karaoke app. The users will get the annual Hungama Pro subscription for Rs. 899 to store local music.

Mi Video will feature streaming content from various platforms. Some of these platforms are SonyLiv, Hungama Play, Voot, AltBalaji, Zee5, Viu, and TVF. Xiaomi claims that Mi Video will have 500,000 worth hours of content. The company also says that 80% of the content will be free for the customers across the country. Mi Video will feature one tap cast feature. This feature will enable you to watch videos on your TV screens. This means that Mi Video will support Miracast and DLNA. It will also support various local video formats like MP4, MOV, MPEG, MKV, MKA, and M2TS.

The company plans to add personalized recommendations option in these apps at some later stage. This would help Xiaomi to improve these apps over the time.
