Potential mobile phone users from Delhi NCR region can now opt for a favourite contact number. As Vodafone India has announced its “Choose Your Number” service in the circle, which enables the users to select their mobile phone number combinations for new prepaid and postpaid connection on the basis of lucky numbers, car registration number, date of birth etc.
The new facility from Vodafone is available at all the major retail stores across the capital. It is expected that the company is launching the service in phases and soon it will enter in rest regions of the country.
“Our customer research indicates that there is a deep interest among the mobile users to have numbers aligned with some significant event in their lives. With Choose Your Number offer we want to acknowledge the faith they have invested in our network and offer another benefit to the prospective customers who have shown interest in subscribing to Vodafone,” Apoorva Mehrotra, Business Head, Delhi & NCR, Vodafone India, said.
In order to get a personalised combination of numbers, seekers will have to submit a request application to a nearest Vodafone store within the region. After the submission of application, the operator will notify after confirming with the database, whether the requested number is already allotted to a subscriber, or not.
If the requested phone number will be available with the telco then it will be assigned to the respective customer by the traditional method respective of whether it is for prepaid or postpaid.
Besides this, in an another story, Vodafone has announced that it is planning to invest Rs. 13,000 crores in the Prime Minister’s initiatives, ‘Digital India’ and ‘Make in India’. It will be the second largest investment made by a company followed by Bharti Airtel. Since the firm made its debut in India in 2007, it has invested Rs. 11,000 crore in the country.
