On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the foundation of the world’s largest monument statue of Unity has proved the capability of the nation in front of the whole world. While addressing a campaign rally ahead of the November 2 foundation of 8 assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister said that due to the biggest move of Swachh Bharat cleanliness campaign there was a massive increase in the foreign tourist’s sector of India.
Now when we have built this biggest historical monument, we have proved our capabilities globally, Said Prime Minister by referring the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. PM Modi inaugurated the Statue of Unity last month in Narmada district of Gujarat. He further said that in the coming time India will mark itself in the world tourism. The prime minister said that since independence there were no such big moves which could attract foreign tourist in India. There were just a few historical monuments which will be the center of attraction like the Taj Mahal and Sun Temple of Konark, Modi added.
While addressing the campaign rally, PM Modi further asserted that our nation has a lot of things which could attract tourists easily from all over the world, like its cuisines, rich culture of thousands of years, languages, but the sector felt the negligence after Independence.
The garbage on the roads in the tourist towns deteriorated the number of tourists visiting the places. But there has been a huge increase in the tourist after the commencement of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan programme. The tourism sector is very helpful in generating the employment opportunities with low investment and it will be beneficial for those who indulge in small businesses like selling tea, pakoda and driving taxi and autorickshaws, said PM Modi.
“The previous government was remotely controlled by ‘madam’ in New Delhi….they have stopped all the work progress which was initiated by the BJP Government previously. Sardar Sarovar Dam work was also stopped when I was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Many farmers faced issues because their farms started drying up. I had protested for it and spent ten years fighting Delhi”, PM Modi said. Prime Minister also criticized the opposition Party Congress that they have never implemented any such policies, nor they have a good leader to lead the party.
