The statue of Sardar Patel, the first Deputy Prime Minister of India will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the birth anniversary of Vallabhbhai Patel that is October 31.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that the inauguration of the worlds tallest building will be done by Prime Minister on 31 October.

The Chief Minister Gujarat shared about the inauguration on the sidelines of the BJP’s national executive meeting held for two days.

Vijay Rupani shared that the statue is 182 metres in height and will be symbolised as unity and integrity of the country.

The statue has been named as the statue of unity by the Gujarat government.

The Chief Minister Vijay Rupani informed that the saffron party that is Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) followed the instruction of PM Modi and had collected iron, soil and water from across the country for the construction of the statue of unity in the state.

The Chief Minister added that the statue will resemble the work done by Sardar Patel for the country’s unity.

Earlier Prime Minister Modi had made a declaration that his government would build the world’s tallest statue to commemorate Patel while Congress had been always sidelining the work of the legendary leader. Mr Modi when announced for it, oppositions took it as “empty talk”  but now the statue is all set to get inaugurated with world-class facilities.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel born on 31 October 1875 was a Congress leader who became first Home Minister and Deputy Minister of India. He was an Indian barrister and statesman, and a founding father of the Republic of India. He was a senior leader of the Indian National Congress who played a leading role in the country’s struggle for independence. Sardar patel worked for a united, independent nation. During his tenure as Home minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Patel organised relief efforts for refugees fleeing from Delhi and Punjab and contributed in the restoration of peace.
