Sony has surprised the customers by launching Xperia XZ2 Premium smartphone. This is the company’s latest flagship device. Earlier, the company had announced Xperia XZ Premium on MWC 2018. This Xperia XZ2 Premium has many upgrades over Xperia XZ Premium. The main touted features of Xperia XZ2 Premium are 4K HDR display, dual camera setup, and latest Snapdragon 845 processor. The company has changed the camera sensors on this device. The camera of XZ2 Premium has several improvements. It supports 12800 ISO for video recording. This is the highest ever ISO in smartphones. The device also has 51200 ISO for photos. It also supports 960fps slow-motion video recording.
The detailed specifications of the device show that it has 5.8-inch 4K HDR Triluminos display with 2160×3840 pixels resolution. There is a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Like many other smartphones of this brand, XZ2 Premium also comes with IP 65/68 certification for water and dust resistance.
The device comes with 6GB RAM. There is dual camera setup on the back. There is one 19MP sensor with 1.22-micron pixels and f/1.8 aperture. The other is 12MP black and white sensor with 1.55-micron pixels and f/1.6 aperture. The rear camera also features Bionz mobile image processing, Aube fusion image signal for slow-motion recording. It also supports Bokeh, Monochrome, HDR, predictive hybrid autofocus, and 5-axis image stabilization. Xperia XZ2 Premium also features a 13MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Onboard storage of the device is 64GB. The users can also expand the memory up to 400GB via micro SD Card. The device runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. There is 3540mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 and wireless charging also. There is also a USB type-C and a lot of other connectivity features in the device.
