The BJP Charioteer attacked the Congress President and asked if he was dreaming to get back in power under the leadership of a man who distributed fake lewd CD and was punished for it.
The BJP chief was talking about the Chhattisgarh Congress chief Bhupesh Baghel who was accused of circulating fake “sex CD” purportedly featuring a state BJP minister.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief questioned, “Rahul Baba, are you dreaming of forming the government in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of a person who has put to shame all the women in Chhattisgarh by preparing a fake CD?”
Mr Shah was addressing about 36,000 booth-level BJP workers from Surguja division at the Kala Kendra Grounds in Ambikapur town where he cited the old stories of Congress Party.
Mr Shah even asked the Congress President about who would be leading face in the coming election and mentioned about the accused leader. Bhupesh Baghel was awarded jail term but was later released on bail by a court.
Mr Shah even trapped Mr Gandhi for supporting “urban Naxals” and added that his party would not leave anyone who were against nation and would put them behind the bars.
The BJP Party had already announced that in Chattisgarh state, the party would contest elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Raman Singh. Mr Shah appreciated Mr Raman and said that the state and people had seen the transformation in the three-term rule of Raman Singh.
Whereas Congress Party had not declared the chief ministerial candidate in Chhattisgarh.
The Chhattisgarh state will face polls in two phases — on November 12 and 20 — for its 90-member Assembly.
Mr Shah said that the coming election would predict the future of the country.
The Saffron party chief asked the Congress President to show the work done in his party’s 55-year rule instead of asking about the work done by the Modi Government. He asked why development did not reach people in Congress government.
Mr Shah even pinned the Congress party for nepotism and said that BJP did not rely on its leader alone but the party workers were the one who ensures victory in the election. He even quoted the booth-level party cadres as “jaan” (life) and “malik” (owner).
Appreciating the steps taken by Chief Minister Singh, Shah said that state which was under the clouds of hunger, Maoism, illiteracy and darkness, had now become an abode of power, cement, steel, aluminium, education and healthcare
Mr Shah continued “Now, Raman Singhji has been ensuring digital connectivity in the entire state,”
