Born in Cannada to Sandra and Lance Mcadams, she was the eldest of three children. Her mother was a nurse, and her father used to work as a truck driver. She has a younger sister who works as a makeup artist and a younger brother who’s a personal trainer. She was a figure skater from the age of four, which has kept her in tune with her body, and she had won a lot of awards regionally for her skills. Rachel Mcadams attended Myrtle Street Public School and later attended college at Central Elgin Collegiate Institute. She developed an interest in acting when she was around seven years old. She started to participate in summer camps and workshops for drama while working at Mcdonald’s to support herself.
