In order to provide relief to the flood-hit State, Qatar has announced a donation of 5 million US dollars. The amount has been donated by the firm to support the people of the state who in the natural disaster have lost their homes, families etc.

As per our news sources, Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani had sent his condolences to President Ram Nath Kovind and have hoped the state to have a quick recovery from the disaster that has created a havoc in the state.

Besides this, a news says that the Prime Minister and Interior Minister of Qatar had also sent their condolences to PM Narendra Modi regarding the disaster that has surrounded the state and its people.

To add more to the support for the state, emergency relief to those affected by the Kerala floods has been launched by the international charity organization known as  Qatar Charity. The emergency relief service has been provided by the organization through its various representatives that are in the country. Apart from this, the organization has also launched a fundraising campaign that is meant to target an amount of 4 million Riyal. The fundraising campaign will be of a big help to provide food, shelter and medical needs for more than 60,000 victims in the state.

With more than 324 people died, over two lakh people lost their houses in the disaster and a material loss of around Rs 19,500 crore, Kerala has witnessed the worst floods of the century in which numerous parts of the state got damaged and flooded while thousands of the victims have relocated to relief camps, airlifted and rescued on boats.

Relief efforts are ongoing and people from several parts of the country are contributing with relief material, food, drinking water and money to victims of the flood-hit state.
