Narendra Modi is all set to lift his home state Gujarat with new projects and development programmes. The Prime Minister will launch new projects of the central government and states in Valsad and Junagadh districts. The visit is scheduled for Thursday. Prime Minister will also address students in the convocation ceremony of Gujarat Forensic Sciences University in Gandhinagar.
Prime Minister will first visit in an event at Jujwa village in Valsad. In the event, he will hand over the keys of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, to the beneficiaries of the scheme.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna is a banner under which central government provides housing for the rural people.
It is informed that more than 1.15 lakh houses are built under the yojna with the expedition of Rs 1,727 crore. Beneficiaries belonging to Valsad, Tapi, Surat, Navsari, and Dangs will be facilitated with the keys of their new house built under the scheme while those from other districts will join the event via video-link. Narendra Modi will watch their e-Gruhpravesh through the video calls.
Prime Minister will also facilitate certificates and employment letters to the beneficiaries under various other government schemes. In a take to promote women employment, Mr Modi will hand over appointment letters and skill certificates to 5,000 women who are linked with industries under the Mukhyamantri Gramudyog Yojana.
Setting his hometown to the path of success and progress, Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of project which costs Rs 586-crore to supply drinking water to interiors of Dharampur and Kaprada talukas of Valsad district.
After the end of Valsat event, Mr Modi will visit Junagadh and inaugurate the hospital building of GMERS Medical College. He will even inaugurate a river bridge, a building of Polytechnic in Agro-processing of Junagadh Agricultural University and town hall of Junagadh.
The next visit of the Prime Minister is scheduled to Gandhinagar after Junagadh, where he will join convocation of Gujarat Forensic Sciences University. He will preside the convocation function in Gandhinagar and will address the gathering.
He will get back to Delhi after the convocation ceremony held at Gujarat Forensic Sciences University.
