On 19th of October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will provide the house keys to some of the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Besides this, PM Modi will also interact with the beneficiaries in Shirdi on the same day. One of the officials has also reported that Modi will then attend the e-griha pravesh ceremony for 40,000 beneficiaries of the government housing scheme.

As per the news sources, to mark the conclusion of the year-long Saibaba Samadhi centenary, PM Modi will participate in the programmes organized by the Sai temple trust.

On the other hand, Dhananjay Munde, Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council on Tuesday claimed that a big amount of Rs. 2 crore is being used by the state government in order to bring the beneficiaries regarding the function that will take place on 19th of this month.

Munde also alleged the government and said that none of the state government schemes is reaching the target group and so the government is now making false promotions of the schemes. He also asserted that the government is organizing the function as a fact that the elections are approaching.

The leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council, Dhananjay Munde added that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is nothing but just an old Indira Awas Yojana. He said that the government has combined the old Indira Awas Yojana with some other schemes and has presented it before the people.

Munde further asserted that the implementation of the PMAY is not up to the mark and is in such a way that the government is searching for beneficiaries now.

In order to mislead the people for the upcoming elections and making possible efforts so that the citizens won’t cast their votes in favor of the party, Munde said, “Also given the drought situation, why are government funds being spent on such propaganda?”
