On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires to participate in the 13th G-20 summit. The theme of the summit is – Building Consensus for a Fair and Sustainable Development. The first session of the summit is titled as ‘Putting People First’ and PM Modi will make a lead intervention in the session.

During his visit to Argentina in order to attend the 13th G-20 summit, Prime Minister here on Friday interacted with U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and British Prime Minister Theresa May ahead of the G-20 summit.

Before the first trilateral meeting that was scheduled for later part of the day, the interaction between Mr. Modi, Mr. Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo came up as a brief exchange of views on certain matters between them.

In one of the pictures that External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted, PM Modi was seen talking to Mr Trump and clasping the hand of U.S. President. PM Modi here also interacted with President Putin.

“Catching up with other #G20 leaders from Russia, Italy and U.K. at the Leaders’ Lounge,” Mr. Kumar tweeted, referring to Prime Minister’s interactions with President Putin, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and British Prime Minister Theresa May.

After the interaction with the other leaders, Mr. Modi joined the leaders of the world for a ‘G-20 Argentina Family’ photo.

“PM @narendramodi joins the world leaders for #G20Argentina Family Photo,” Mr. Kumar tweeted.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also met Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Buenos Aires. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the G20 summit where both of them discussed ways and methods to boost economic, cultural and energy ties. Besides this, both the leaders also discussed concerns about enhancing investment in technology, renewable energy and food security.
