Indian President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Bulgaria, Cyprus and Czech Republic from Sep 2-9, during this period he will hold the meetings with leaders of three European countries to increase relationships, especially in the economic sphere.

Secretary of Ministry of External Affairs, Ruchi Ghanshyam told our sources that Ram Nath Kovind will begin his tour starting from Cyprus and will have a meeting with Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades on different issues, including stepping hands in a bilateral trade.

During Kovind’s visit to Cyprus from Sep 2-4, he will also address the Cyprus House of representative, give a lecture at the University of Cyprus and also address the Indian diaspora.

Our sources also reported that from Sep4-6 Kovind will visit Bulgaria and will become the second President to visit the European country after APJ Abdul Kalam who visited in the year 2003. The key visit is on Sep 5, teacher’s day where he will give a lecture to the students of Bulgaria in Sona University. The topic will be ‘Education as an instrument of change and shared responsibility’, sources revealed.

India-Bulgaria business event will also be organized during the President’s visit in which around 250 business representative will attend the event.

The last stop of Kovind will be the Czech Republic from Sep 6-9. Here he will have a meeting with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis, counterpart Milos Zeman and President of the chamber of deputies Radek Vondracek.

As per the sources,  there will be a business forum event in Czech and around 60 companies will be participating in the event and the same number of Czech companies will also participate in the business to business interactions.

President will also interact with Indologists at Charles University in Prague that had Sanskrit significance in 1850. He will visit more places like International Laser Research Centre, ELI Beamlines, these aspire to install and run the world’s intense laser system.
