Patanjali Ayurved has launched a new messaging app ‘Kimbho’ to compete global messaging app WhatsApp. Here, it is worth mentioning that WhatsApp is one of the largest messaging apps being used all over the world. It has more than 1.5 billion users worldwide and 200 million users in India. ‘Kimbho’ app is available both at Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store. The app offers many peculiar features like WhatsApp. Voice calls, Video calls, messages, sharing multimedia and stickers are some of the important features ‘Kimbho’ app provides. The users of this app can chat with an individual and can also create new groups.
Patanjali has launched this app soon after it enters into partnership with BSNL to launch new Patanjali SIM cards. These SIM cards offer cheap packages to the employees of the company. They are enjoying unlimited calls, 100 SMS’s and 2GB data on a recharge of Rs 144. Now, the launch of ‘Kimbho’ app will further strengthen its position in the telecom sector. The tagline of the app ‘Ab Bharat Bolega’ will create patriotic feelings in the minds of the people. The experts are quite hopeful that the app will give a tough time to global messaging app WhatsApp. This is because Indians trust the slogan of ‘Made in India’.
There are reports that Play Store has deleted the app. It is still available on Apple’s App Store. There are also reports that downloads of the app have crossed 50 thousand within a short span of time. Some people are saying that ‘Kimbho’ app is a clone to ‘Bolo’ app already launched in India. The descriptions of both ‘Bolo’ app and ‘Kimbho’ app are same on the Play Store.
Baba Ramdev says that launching of this app is a part of our ‘Swadeshi’ mission to promote ‘Made in India’ slogan.
