Google is already famous for bringing frequent changes in its UI on the Android devices. Some of these fail while most become a necessary part of the devices. Now, the company is testing another such change. This change will ease the multitasking feature in the Android devices. This new change relates with the phone app. A floating bubble will appear on the top of any running app when the user will go out of the menu to do something else. This floating bubble will show a phone icon in it. After the addition of this feature, the user can easily return back to call by tapping the floating button.
The Nexus and Pixel devices will receive this new version 11 of the phone app to test the feature. During the call, a floating button will appear on the screen on exiting the phone app. This floating button will show either at the right or at the left side of the device. Moreover, the user can also drag it to any place on the screen where he wants. The returning to phone app was never as easy as is now with this app. Simple clicking the bubble button will bring you back to the phone app where other options like a speaker, mute, and end call will appear.
This is not the first time that Google is going to launch such a feature. BlackBerry has already launched the feature in its recent device KeyOne. Google wants to make its UI easy for the Android users. Earlier, it is a lot difficult for the user to return to the phone app until he clicks and re-opens it. But now, clicking the floating button will bring you to the phone app.
Google has said nothing about its global release. But, we can hope that if this trial launch succeeds, the company will push it to all Android users with next update.
