Navjot Singh Sidhu comes up with the response and said: “I pray for the people who criticized me, but I felt too much of love and affection from Pakistan side”.

The visit of the Former cricketer turned politician to Pakistan turned into a criticism by his own party member. Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh on Sunday flayed Mr. Sidhu and called it completely wrong.

Amarinder Singh said “Sidhu should have avoided indulging in such a gesture when Indian soldiers are getting killed every day on the border. After all, it is the army chief who gives the orders with the soldiers merely following the same.”

The Navjot Singh Sidhu along with two other cricketers were invited for the oath ceremony of the newly elected Prime Minister on Saturday. The other two cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev skipped the programme while Mr. Sidhu went for it. Mr Sidhu hugged the Pakistani army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, for which Amarinder Singh criticized him and said that Pakistan army chief is responsible for the deaths of our soldiers and Sidhu should have avoided this.

Mr Sidhu reverted him and said “He came up to me. First thing, he is a Jat like the Cheemas, Sandhus, Sidhus. All the three chiefs of Pakistan defence forces came to meet people sitting in front row. Bajwa walked up to me and said he is a general who wanted to be a cricketer. He was very warm and said he wanted peace.”

He even added that Bajwa shared that the government would open the Dera Baba Nanak (Kartarpur) corridor on Guru Nanak’s 550th birth anniversary. He criticized the notion of people in India and said he would pray for his criticizer. He shared that he felt so much love and affection from the country.

Mr. Sidhu even received black flag by the protestors from Pagri Sambhal Jattan organization.

Chief Minister of Punjab dismissed the need for the resignation of Mr. Sidhu and stated it as his personal choice. He even said that the sitting arrangements were done by Pakistani Official so it was not in the hand of Mr. Sidhu, as Sidhu was sitting next to PoK president.

Mr. Sidhu seemed quite influenced and had developed a kind of trust on Pak Prime Minister as he said that Mr. Imran had clarity of thought, he listens to everyone but decides what he feels right. Imran would come up with better approaches but he needs time.
