Owned by Lenovo, Motorola has launched its new flagship ‘Moto G’ today at an event in Delhi. The launch event has taken place at 12:15 IST and the company has broadcasted its live streaming for all users. If you’re among those few who have missed this live event, don’t worry! For you, we have covered all specs and features of this phone.

If we recall, Lenovo has launched Moto G5 Plus in the middle of the March. This device came in two variants: 3GB and 4GB. This has got good user reviews and become popular. The new smartphone will give direct competition to Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Honor 6X. Lenovo has showcased this smartphone along with its smaller siblings at MWC event in Barcelona this year. Now it is officially launched in India.

Specs and features of Moto G5

Moto G5 sports 5-inch full HD screen with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. It has launched this device in two color variants: Lunar Grey, and Fine Gold.

On the storage front, it comes with 3GB RAM. The company has offered this device in two variants, 16GB and 32GB of internal capacity. Further, you can expand the storage capacity via microSD card up to 128GB.

On the camera front, this device sports a 13 MP dual LED flash rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. You will get a 5 MP wide-angle selfie shooter camera which will provide you the best selfie and video calling.

This device comes with 1.4GHZ Snapdragon 430 processor. On the software front, this device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It has a 2800mAh removable battery with 10W rapid charge.

The Dual SIM Moto G comes with fingerprint scanner placed underneath the home button.

It supports other features like Google Assistant, Moto Display, Actions and twist gesture. The company has not provided Google Assistant feature in Moto G5 plus. Soon, it may roll out the feature for this device as well. Moto G comes with one Button NAV mode which allows customers to navigate the interface with swipes on the fingerprint scanner.

As said this is the younger brother of its predecessor ‘Moto G5 Plus’. So the price is slightly down in comparison to G5 plus. The company has launched this phone at Rs 11,999.

Availability of Moto G5

As we all know, Moto G5 Plus is available on Flipkart. Moto G5 will be sold on e-commerce giant Amazon. The company has announced that this smartphone will go on sale in India at 12 am IST on 5th April. Amazon Prime customers will get Rs. 1000 cashback on Moto G 5.
