On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his tributes to the iconic warrior of the first war of independence Rani Laxmibai on the occasion of his birthday. The Prime Minister remembered the queen of Jhansi on her birthday and took the occasion of her birth anniversary to the Twitter.

Prime Minister said that Rani Laxmibai has contributed a lot to India’s freedom struggle. He added that nation won freedom because of the efforts and hard work which the leaders like her put together.

PM Modi in her post mentioned that the great leader like Rani Laxmi Bai is a great of source inspiration for all the people of the nation. Her sacrifices and courage which she had shown during the struggle of independence will always be remembered. Today if India won freedom than the credit goes to the great warriors like her, Said PM Modi in his posts.

“Rani Laxmibai is a source of inspiration for every Indian. Her fortitude in the face of adversity and steadfast opposition to colonialism will never be forgotten. It is due to greats like her that India won freedom. Remembering her on Gandhi Jayanti, PM Modi tweeted in one of his posts on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rani Laxmibai.

During one of the official visit of PM Modi to Australia in the year 2014, PM Modi gifted the photo collage to Australian Prime Minister, in the memory of John Lang who was the Australian citizen and served as the consular of Rani Laxmi Bai against the East India Company. Lang was born in Sydney in the year 1816 and moved to India at the age of 25, he first arrived in Agra to continue further his legal practice.
