The Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal who is currently shooting for Suriya’s 37th project in Tamil spared some time to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Janmashtami (September 3) and said that PM will support in building new Kerala.

Mohanlal who has been engaged in various social work discussed topics with the prime minister and even shared about the social initiatives done under his VishwaSanthi Foundation for the betterment of needy people in the health and education sectors.

The Prime Minister shared about the meeting on his twitter handle, “Yesterday, I had a wonderful meeting with @Mohanlal Ji. His humility is endearing. His wide range of social service initiatives are commendable and extremely inspiring. (sic)”

Mohanlal also shared a picture with Modi and said that Prime Minister had assured for the support in a new Kerala on his twitter handle. He even shared details of his meeting in a Facebook post  and said: “He has assured all support and offered to participate in the ‘global Malayalee roundtable’ that can formulate futuristic solutions for a new Kerala.”

The meeting of South Indian superstar Mohanlal with Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set rumours that he will be the BJP candidate from capital city-Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency which is presently represented by Congress’ Shashi Tharoor.

However, the speculation was dismissed by sources close to the actor and shared that his meeting was scheduled in back days and it only had a purpose to share about the social initiatives with the PM.

Currently, the south Indian Superstar is shooting for Suriya’s 37th project in Tamil.

The Tollywood superstar supported demonetisation, announced in 2016 and said that it was good to end corruption and exhorted people to take temporary hardships lightly.

Some others came with the same logic that RSS was very curious to launch him as a candidate in the state capital.

The actor is aiming to help and assist flood-stricken state and bring back life to normal through his social initiatives.
