InFocus announced its M260 budget smartphone in the Indian smartphone market. The company says that the handset is meant for the first time smartphone users and it will be available for sale at a price of Rs. 3,999 in three color variants, vibrant orange, pristine white and fluorescent green with a black twist at the bottom, exclusively on Snapdeal, starting from tomorrow.
Commenting on the launch, the company’s country head, Sachin Thapar said that currently, the smartphone market is flooded with budget smartphones with entry-level specs, but their InFocus M260 with a ‘no-compromise’ claiming tag with a fully loaded experience for a first time Android phone user.
In order to provide better build quality and unmatched performance on the mobile phone ‘at a disruptive pricing, truly democratising the smartphone industry’, the handset maker has partnered Foxconn, Thapar added.
The InFocus India head has further stated that the InFocus M260 smartphone is the first handset to be manufactured locally at the Foxconn’s manufacturing unit situated at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh.
Taking about the technical specifications of the handset, he revealed that it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop supported by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor that is coupled with a 1GB of RAM. For storage purposes, the handset sports 8GB of onboard memory that could be expandable up to 64GB by using a microSD card.
The InFocus M260 flaunts a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display, paired with a 2-megapixel of secondary camera above it, while, for primary photography solutions the smartphone is packed with a 5-megapixel of rear camera.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and a micro USB port. It is fueled with a 2000 mAh of battery.
