The Indian Railway has come up with a solution which will end up all the mal-functioning done during the recruitment procedure. The Indian Railway will take the help of tech solutions to stop malpractices in recruitment.

The Indian Railway is on the track for world’s largest recruitment drive, it will hire for one lakh vacancies in coming months.

The question paper leakage had been one of the issues which had covered media in past years. The mal-practices and then protests against it had disturbed the functioning, this time govt comes up with the tech solution with a hope that it would end up all false activities.

It will be the first time, any private company will handle the recruitment procedure for government jobs. The recruitment for government jobs will be executed and supervised by Tata Consultancy ServicesNSE (TCS).

TCS has been conducting entrance exams like Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for IIT and Common Aptitude Test (CAT) for admission to the Indian Institutes of Management and All India Engineering Entrance Exam.

Govt. hopes that online recruitment conducted by a private company would bring transparency to government hiring.

The Railway Recruitment Board has received more than two crore applications for nearly one lakh jobs. For 26,502 vacancies of assistant loco pilots (ALPs) and technicians (Level-2), it has received 4.75 million applications and 19 million applications are received against the 62,907 vacancies for Level 1 (erstwhile Group D).

The Business Standard report states that TCS would be designated as the technology partner of the railways for conducting the phase-wise online examinations which would start from August 9.

TCS iON, which is the recruitment division of TCS will conduct the online exams where the back-end operations will be managed by two other private companies. The TCS is even marketing its iON cloud in Japan , Ireland and many other foreign countries.

There had been many protests against the piracy involved in exams, students were on roads, accusing govt for it. The initiation took by govt. would surely lead to the fair examination and recruitment process.
