Her folks were hitched in 1940 and separated in 1979. Wintour was named after her maternal grandma, Anna Baker (Gilkyson), a vendor’s girl from Pennsylvania. Audrey Slaughter, a magazine editorial manager who established distributions, for example, Honey and Petticoat, is her stepmother.
