Chandigarh: On Thursday, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar ordered to rename the several metro stations of the state. He announced that the metro stations from Bahadurgarh to Mundka Metro line and on the Mujesar (YMCA Chowk) to Ballabhgarh Metro Corridor will be renamed.
As per the announcement made by the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, The Modern Industrial Estate (MIE) Metro Station will be renamed as Pandit Shree Ram Sharma Metro Station, whereas Bus Stand Metro Station will be renamed as Bahadurgarh City Metro Station and the City Park Metro Station will be renamed as Brigadier Hoshiar Singh Station.
Besides this, some other metro stations which will be renamed in the state will be NCB Colony Metro Station which now onwards will be known as Sant Surdas (Sihi) Metro Station, and Ballabhgarh Metro Station will be renamed as Raja Nahar Singh Metro Station.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while announcing the new names for several metro stations in the state addressed the media and said that his government will soon constitute Faridabad Metro Development Authority (FMDA) which will be similar to the Gurugram Metro Development Authority (GMDA). The minister revealed that doing this will favour development and will provide infrastructure facilities to the people residing in Faridabad similar to the facilities that the people of Gurugram had been provided with.
