Wadia Group’s GoAir will start its international operations from October 11, says chief executive officer Cornelis Vrieswijik. The inaugural flight will operate from Mumbai and New Delhi. Nearly after 13 years of starting its domestic service, it has announced its first international service.

As per the sources, The budgeted airline will launch its flight to Male in Maldives from New Delhi and Mumbai from October 14. One of the sources reported that the bookings of the international flight will commence soon.

Cornelis reported our sources that the airline will launch its flight to Male from Oct 14 and the airline is also planning to connect Bengaluru with Phuket and Male in coming years. He also added that Phuket and Male are the busiest tourist places and hold a lot of promise. We have planned our international schedules to give convenient and quick connection to our customers.

GoAir became eligible to fly overseas two years ago when it took delivery of 20th aircraft which was also the first Airbus A320 Neo for the airline. It will be the sixth domestic carrier airline to have international operations.

GoAir launched its domestic airlines in Nov 2005. In Aug 2016, GoAir was granted permission to operate in nine countries including, Maldives, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, China and Vietnam.

The GoAir airline has also announced all-inclusive return fare starting from Rs 18,999 from Mumbai to Phuket and New Delhi to Phuket flight. For Male-Mumbai the return fare is all-inclusive Rs 17,999 and Male-Delhi is Rs 18,999. GoAir will operate three flights from Mumbai to Phuket in a week while Delhi-Phuket would be twice a week. Similar with Mumbai to Male is thrice a week and Delhi to Male will be twice a week.

GoAir operates around 1,544 flights weekly and across 23 places with a fleet of 38 Airbus A320 planes which includes 19 A320 Neo planes.
