On Friday, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar conveyed BJP President Amit Shah that he is unable to work normally following a health condition. In order to “explore the alternatives” regarding the same, Bhartiya Janta Party on 17th of this month will send a team to Goa, sources revealed.

A meeting of the state-level core committee regarding the concern was also organized by the Goa BJP on Friday. The meeting had been organized against the backdrop of Parrikar’s hospitalization. Sources said that after the meeting, the core committee later met Parrikar.

The core committee of Bhartiya Janta Party in Goa consists of three MPs from the state. Out of the three MPs, two are from Lok Sabha while one is from Rajya Sabha. Besides the three MPs, the core committee has senior leaders as well.

As per the recent sources, Parikkar returned on 7th of September after a medical checkup being conducted over him in the US. On September 13, a few days after he returned from the US, he was admitted to a private hospital at Candolim in North Goa district.

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was earlier admitted to a hospital in the US following an ongoing treatment for a pancreatic ailment since past three months. Sources say that the Chief Minister since his return from the US has not attended any official meetings.

BJP MLA and Deputy Speaker Michael Lobo also paid a visit to the Goa chief minister while he was admitted to the private hospital at Candolim in North Goa district. Lobo told the reporters that when he visited Parrikar in the hospital the chief minister was fine.

On the other hand, a letter landed the office of the Governor from the Congress a week before, which showed the concern and fear regarding the dissolution of Assembly as the chief minister is “losing grip” over allies and facing intra-party politics.
