As per our news sources, CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy wrote an email to its employees which briefed that company has taken this decision in order to come up with a new platform that will deal into refurbished goods in the name of Flipkart. He also said that with the brand name of Flipkart, the customer’s issues regarding trust and convenience of the refurbished products will be resolved.
“Based on our learnings at eBay.in, we have built a brand new value platform launching with refurbished goods – a large market which is predominantly unorganised. With Flipkart’s customer base and F1 Info solutions & services in our group portfolio, I believe that we can solve the key barriers to refurbished – trust & convenience – at scale. We will keep evolving and bringing newer formats, categories and features which cater to the needs of our value-conscious middle India,” Krishnamurthy said in the mail.
Besides this, Krishnamurthy regarding the same has sent a letter to the employees in order to provide a detailed information about the new platform that will soon hit the market and will deal in refurbished products.
Briefing about the importance of this new launch, CEO Krishnamurthy said that the new platform will be completely independent of the Flipkart and will target an audience different from that of Flipkart.
“We are committed to investing in this independent brand. Some of you may have worked on this platform as part of the launch and would know the strategic importance of this foray for Flipkart Group. The rest of you will soon hear more from the relevant teams on the launch of this new platform”, said, CEO Krishnamurthy.
