Campaigning has reached its peak in both Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram, and BJP and Congress are making blistering attacks over each other as just four days are left for the Assembly elections to take place in both the states. Senior leaders from both parties are conducting rallies and campaigning in various areas to provide support to their candidates.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also putting up his best possible efforts regarding the upcoming elections and has been scheduled to participate in rallies in Chhatarpur and Mandsaur districts, in Madhya Pradesh today. PM Modi also addressed a rally at Lunglei in Mizoram on Friday and interacted with the representatives of NGOs and civil societies.

The Assembly elections for the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly and 40-member Mizoram Assembly will take place on 28th of November and the elections will be held in a single phase in both the states. Besides this, Assembly elections in Rajasthan and Telangana will take place on December 11 for which the campaigning has already picked up the pace in both the states.

Regarding the campaigning part in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje with other senior BJP leaders Prakash Javadekar and Piyush Goyal will participate in rallies at various places of the state. Amidst the election rallies, Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Congress State President Sachin Pilot are also scheduled to hold public meetings.

Between the preparations and the hustle and bustle of the upcoming Assembly elections in the five states, Election Commission has sent a notice to Congress leader and former Union Minister CP Joshi for violating the model code of conduct. Mr Joshi is contesting from Nathdwara constituency of Rajasamand district.

Mr Joshi was served with a notice from the Election Commission after the BJP filed a complaint against him. The complaint was regarding the alleged casteist remarks that he made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Uma Bharti. Counting of votes for all the five states – Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, and Telangana – will be held on the 11th of next month.
