The second season of the infamous manga comics-based anime series – Demon Slayer has been announced. The series was released on Netflix in 2019. A sequel to the same is announced and is all set to be launched in the second half of 2021. Following the story of a young boy by the name of Tanjiro Kamado whose family is killed by a demon, the show took a wild turn in the popularity charts.
What about the storyline and premise?
It is said that the sequel will pick the plot up from where it was left at the ending of the first season. We saw till now how Tanjiro Kamado chases after a demon that killed his entire family. It is shown that his sister actually survived the demon attack but can later be seen as being transformed into a demon herself. The plot covers Tanjiro meeting Giyu and even rehabilitation training.
Having several engaging story arcs, even the entertainment district arc is rather intriguing. It shows the infiltration of a district by the characters – Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Tengen Uzui. It promises the viewers a great plot combined with even better story-telling.
Other updates regarding season 2:
The official Twitter handle of the show announced the launch of season 2. Season 2 is said to adapt the entertainment district arc from the comic version. This is creating all the buzz in the market as the recent Japanese blockbuster movie – ‘Demon Slayer the Movie – Mugen Train’ is all set to be released in English.
It can be called a fanfest for Manga fans with both the second season and an English movie of one of the wildly popular series is under making. Apart from the series and the movie, there are speculations that a video game too is in the developing stages and might storm the markets in the second half of the year. Sounds like Manga fanboys have a lot to be excited about.
