New Delhi: On Thursday, Bhartiya Janta Party in its Telangana election manifesto promised an array of things to the people of the state. These include loan waiver for farmers, free of cost cows to one lakh people per year, regulation of liquor sale in the state and free laptops to students in degree colleges. Besides these, the manifesto of the party also promises ‘Sowbhagya Laxmi’ scheme in the state. As per the scheme, the government will provide Rs one lakh and 12 gram (one tola) gold to women at the time of marriage.
Our news sources have reported that Telangana election manifesto was launched by state BJP president K Laxman on Thursday, which has also promised a law in the state that will prevent forcible religious conversions by luring with money and other means. On the other hand, the manifesto also ensures the people that ‘Rohingyas’, who have ‘illegally entered’ from Bangladesh will be sent back to their country.
The manifesto says that BJP, if elected in the state, will not only provide free cycles to girls from standard seven to 10 but students pursuing degree or post-graduation courses will be given two-wheelers at 50 per cent subsidy.
Adding more to the benefits that the party will provide to the people of the state, unemployment allowance of Rs 3116 per month will be provided to the unemployed youth of Telangana if BJP comes to power. Besides this, the government if elected in the state will restrict the timings of the sale of liquor and will also install surveillance cameras at important and sensitive locations in the state.
The Assembly elections in Telangana will take place on 7th of December and the results for the same will be announced on December 11. For the upcoming polls in the state, the Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have come together against the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS).
