BJP has decided to release its vision statement “Vision Document- 2018” for assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh in the first week of October. The party recently got the go-ahead from its top leadership regarding the dates for releasing the vision document.

Regarding this, The manifesto committee has been given the timeline of September 15 to submit the initial draft to the election committee which is headed by the Chief Minister of Madya Pradesh Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The manifesto Committee was supposed to submit the initial draft by end of August but was delayed due to the sudden death of former Prime Minister and prime thinker of BJP leadership Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The task of manifesto committee is enormous as it has to process approximately 40,000 suggestions which have been received by people of Madhya Pradesh through various mediums of letters, App suggestions and online portals. All the suggestions are carefully read and processed for inclusion in the vision document- 2018 for the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh said one of the spokespeople of BJP.

Due to the delay in processing of the suggestions, the date for submission of suggestion by the public has also been increased till September 20. Convener of manifesto committee Vikram Verma also told that all 40,000 suggestions are deliberated upon very carefully and is included in the document. The upper caste unrest in Madhya Pradesh has been a prime concern for the present government and the government is bound to take concrete measures to ensure that the upper caste voters vote for BJP in the assembly elections.

Besides this, Shivraj government will launch various schemes like Sambal Yojana to include middle-class people as beneficiaries, they would also hold Panchayats and meeting of small and medium traders and priests in the state to listen to problems of the upper caste population in the state.

The manifesto committee headed by Vikram Verma will meet BJP top leadership and Shivraj Singh Chouhan on September 15 with initial draft and would take suggestions from all members for shaping the final draft. “We will discuss the final plan with the chief minister before submitting it to the state election management committee. Hopefully, after adding Chouhan’s suggestions and reviewing the main agenda, we will submit the manifesto by September-end,” said Mr. Vikram Verma.

BJP would be fighting this election on the prime agenda of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas ‘, they would also ensure that they include the upper caste this time and does not concentrate their complete focus on women empowerment, poverty alleviation and farmers.
