NEW DELHI: Delhi unit of Bhartiya Janta Party has alleged Arvind Kejriwal government as the most corrupt government in the history of the city. While accusing the government, the BJP unit has demanded the removal of its ministers who are facing graft charges.
BJP’s city unit chief Manoj Tiwari referred the I-T raids that recently took place at multiple premises of Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot and said that the minister should be dismissed from the government and the duties. Tiwari also demanded the same for the minister Satyendra Jain, who at present is facing corruption charges.
“The Kejriwal government is the most corrupt government in the history of Delhi. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Gahlot and Jain seemed to have left former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda well behind in terms of corruption,” Mr Tiwari said in a statement.
On the other hand, the BJP’s Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta said that Arvind Kejriwal should not defend his corrupt ministers and should rather dismiss them from their duties immediately. He also said that Kejriwal should keep in mind that the people are now “completely disenchanted” with the party.
Our news sources have reported that as soon as the I-T officials raided multiple premises linked to Mr Gahlot in connection with tax evasion charges, there was a statement from the side of Kejriwal demanding an apology from PM Modi. The apology demanded by Kejriwal was regarding the constant trouble which PM modi was giving to the Delhi government elected by them.
