Apple is expected to launch iPhone 7 on September 7. The company has already mailed media invites and also posted a live streaming page on their official website. The official launch will take place at around 10.30 PM IST. Even though the official launch is two days away, there has been a widespread speculation about the expected features and specifications.
The main attraction of iPhone 7 will be the elimination of the traditional 3.5mm audio jack. The port will be replaced by a lightning connector port. However, you need a special earphone to work with the audio port. There are rumors that Apple will bundle ‘AirPods’ with the product package. However, we can’t confirm anything until Apple CEO Tim Cook reveals the actual product.
iPhone 7 Display
Apple will most likely launch a standard 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus. Moreover, you can also expect a dual-camera variant of iPhone 7 Plus, which will cost more than the standard models. There is also a possibility that the dual-camera model will be named as iPhone 7 Pro. According to credible sources, Apple has shelved the “Pro” branding and will only release “Plus” variant.
iPhone 7 Specifications
Apple will not make any significant design changes to the new handset. However, the new handset will be equipped with a refreshed Apple A10 processor, capable of consuming less power.
The processor will have an ability to run up to 2.4GHz. While iPhone 7 will feature 2GB RAM, the iPhone 7 Plus will be equipped with 3GB RAM. There are rumors that the Cupertino-based company will integrate 4GB RAM with the dual-camera variant.
iPhone 7 Features
Apple will most likely integrate a refreshed home button with a haptic feedback. You can expect a second speaker on the slot of the 3.5mm headphone jack. You can also expect two new color options such as dark blue and piano black. According to Gadgets & Gizmos, iPhone 7 will also be available in a dark shade of Blue. There will be improvements to the speaker and the smartphone will be water-resistant.
Significance of dual-camera
The dual-camera expected to be integrated with Apple iPhone 7 Pro will be able to capture its own pixels to deliver a brighter image with great detail. Moreover, the image sensors will capture light differently. This is to create a merged photograph that would look like a real-life image in terms of color reproduction. You will be able to shoot sharp images even during low-light conditions. The deal camera will also provide support for optical zoom including light field camera applications. Apple will also integrate wide-angle and telephoto cameras with 12MP sensors
Although the above-mentioned features are based on rumors, they are leaked from credible sources. Hence, you can believe them to a certain extent. We will continue to track the developments and update you.
