With the skipping days and approaching elections, the saffron party president is staying engaged in his busy scheduled which will only end after the elections.

BJP President Amit Shah will be engaged in Chattisgarh as he will be on a two-day visit from Friday in the election-bound state. Mr Shah will address the booth-level workers of the party at four places in the BJP ruled state. This will be the third visit of the saffron party president in the state within a month to ensure success in the coming election.

BJP State general secretary Santosh Pandey said “With an aim to re-energise the booth-level party workers, division-level conventions are being held on October 12 and 13, which will be addressed by Shah,” on Thursday.

The saffron party had set a target of “Mission 65 plus” to ensure grand victory in assembly polls in Chattisgarh. Forwarding towards its target, BJP President had shifted all his focus on extending its booth-level workers.

The tight-schedule of BJP president starts with the visit in Ambikapur and Bilaspur towns to address the booth-level workers of Surguja and Bilaspur divisions respectively then he will interact with a group of lawyers, on Friday.

Mr Shah will address party workers at Jagdalpur under Bastar division on October 13. He will also interact with the cadres of Durg and Raipur divisions in state capital Raipur.

Mr Shah will have direct interaction with the BJP party cadres of 23,632 booths in the state.

Sources even informed that Mr Shah would even shortlist the candidates for  the upcoming elections which would be later announced by the party’s Central Election Committee

The  Election Commission’s (EC’s) poll dates mentioned that the state will have the elections in two phases, the first phase will cover 18 Naxalism-hit constituencies on  November 12 while the second phase will see elections in 72 constituencies on November 20.

The counting of votes in the state will be on December 11.
