Bharti Airtel is one of the leading telecom service providers in India. The company is already operating its 2G and 3G services across the country. There are also some parts where it is providing 4G services. It is a known fact that 4G networks do not support voice calls until they offer VoLTE feature on their network. Reliance Jio is the only company in India which is providing 4G VoLTE services in many cities. It is also going to launch a 4G feature phone with support for VoLTE. This device will open new horizons of success for the company.
Airtel has now announced to launch the 4G VoLTE services in the country until the end of this fiscal year. March 2018 seems the launching month by the talks of its executives. Yesterday, the managing director of Airtel said all this in talks with some analysts. He made it clear that the net profit of the company for the first quarter of 2017 has decreased about 74.9% as compared with the previous year. The company has earned Rs. 367 crores which are too less than previous year’s Rs. 1462 crores. Now, they are reviving their policies to gain back their profit margin.
Answering a question about Jio feature phone, the executive said that their company had no such plans to launch any device. He clarified that the company would continue bundling with smartphone manufacturers to bring new and cheap phones to the market. He also welcomed the launch of feature phone from Jio and said that it would open up a new era of cheap smartphones in the country. We can say that all the companies are stunned by the new announcement of Reliance Jio on last Friday.
The first reaction has come from Airtel and other telecom companies will also launch some new packages and features.
