Whatsapp allows to send pdf file with its app update

Since its merger in Facebook, WhatsApp is updating its various features. Earlier, we heard about the addition of payment feature in this most favorite app. And now, there is news about the new WhatsApp beta release with a payments page. The company released this beta version 2.17.285 this week. An additional page ‘Welcome to WhatsApp Payments’ has tipped in this new version. It means that the customers have to wait only a couple of weeks to have this service on their Android devices.

The famous blog WABetaInfo has leaked this news along with the image of that payments page. The image also reveals that WhatsApp will allow the bank to bank transfers in this payments page. This will happen through UPI (Unified Payment Interface). Earlier, we have seen that Aadhaar App is also using this unified payment interface. Due to working of UPI’s on IMPS protocol, the bank to bank transfers will become easy and fast.

A few months ago, we also heard that WhatsApp is planning to launch its own payment service. This is because many other messaging apps like WeChat and Hike Messenger were already enjoying the launch of this service. At times, we also heard the company’s talks with NPCI to carve out the ways to implement this service. The addition of this feature in WhatsApp will bring a revolution in digital payments field. This is because WhatsApp is the most favorite app all across the world with more than 200 million active users.

This launch will extend the digital payments program in India. Earlier, the mobile payment platforms like Paytm and MobiKwik have observed growth in their customer databases and the number of transactions. WhatsApp will beat all these mobile payment platforms as it has the largest active users database.
