April 24th is the date when LG will finally launch the G6 in India. It will be priced at Rs.51,900 and is expected to come with a launch discount of Rs.5000. Earlier this week, Samsung announced the Galaxy S8 and S8+ in India. The price of these two flagship devices is higher than the official price of G6. The launch of G6 was confirmed by Amit Bhawani on Twitter.

The G6 is the second phone launched by the South Korean Company LG Electronics at the MWC 2017. This newly launched smartphone has some very interesting changes in the processor. Mainly, it lacks the removable battery and needs to offer better battery life to stand against the flagship brands. After removing the removable battery feature, the company is now able to offer IP68 certificate, making the G6 both water and dust resistant.

The device is packed with a metal frame and pure glass back panel. It is available in three different color variants- Ice Platinum, Mystic White and Astro black. Unlike last year’s G5, G6 lacks the modularity and also misses its friends. The back of G6 looks very clean with the antenna bands limited to the edges. The volume rocker is placed on the left side of the phone with the lock button. It packs a 5.7-inch Full Vision display that covers 90% of the front area. It comes with QuadHD+ (2880×1440 pixels) OLED panel and has an insane 18:9 aspect ratio protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

According to the claims made by the company, LG G6 is the most compact 5.7-inch smartphone in the market. This device also supports Dolby Vision and HDR 10 for enhanced viewing experience. This device not only has curved edges but the display edges are also curved. Even though Qualcomm already released its latest Snapdragon 835 SoC and Galaxy S8 is the first device to have it, LG still opted for the Snapdragon 821 SoC. It didn’t want to delay the launch at any cost. It comes with the same Adreno 530 GPU. The device also packs 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a 32 GB UFS 2.0 internal storage.

The G6 didn’t compromise the microSD card slot. It can be used to increase the storage up to 2TB. G6 has dual rear cameras: one 13MP standard sensor with f/1.8 and OIS 2.0 and another 13MP wide angle sensor with f/2.4 and 125-degree wide angle lens. It has a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and 100-degree wide angle lens. The battery is of 3300mAh and supports Quick Charge 3.0. It weighs 163 grams and comes with Android 7.0 Nougat.
