NASA is a federal agency of US which deals in administrations of space and aeronautics. At times, it sends space missions to study various objects. Dawn is also a spacecraft sent into space by NASA. It has been studying the Ceres for two years. According to NASA, mission specialists have managed to place Dawn into an orbit. This will enable it to view Occator Crater closely. Occator Crater is the brightest area on the surface of Ceres.
Dawn has taken many images of Ceres on 29th of April. NASA has released a movie which shows these opposition images clearly. The contrast in this movie is increased to spot the brightness differences. Due to this contrast, the bright spots of Occator stand out particularly well. The spacecraft has taken its images from 12,000 miles or 20,000 KM.

Dawn’s observations of Ceres for more than two years give us a broad range of illumination. Any object in the space does not have so many brightness angles as Ceres have. These images have proved to be very useful for scientists to study about Ceres in detail. They can study its surface and properties.
Dawn spacecraft was sent into space by NASA in 2007. Ceres is a dwarf planet that lies between the Orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Its 945KM wide diameter makes it one of the largest minor planets within the orbit of Neptune.
The US, Russia and China are all running at the same pace in discovering new planets. All these countries have their ongoing missions in space. They are all studying Mars, Moon and Earth. They want to populate a city either on Mars or in Moon. The US is leading the race in the discovery of new space objects.
