Just days after Manmatha (Vismayam in Malayalam) got rave reviews from filmmakers like SS. Rajamouli, Mohanlal became busy with the promotion of his upcoming movies. He terms himself a complete actor. His upcoming film Oppam is scheduled to be releaseed on September 8 just on time for Onam festival. Directed by Priyadarshan, Oppam is the Onam special release for the legendary actor who recently completed 36 years of his film career.

Penned by Govind Vijayan, Mohanlal’s character, Jayaraman revolves around a visually-challenged man. He has an exception skill to sense, hear, smell and touch. Commenting on his role, Mohanlal revealed to a leading film journal that it was one of the most challenging roles in his career.

The main story in Oppam is that Jayaraman was charged in a murder case which he actually witnessed. However, the film portrays how he finds out the real culprit. According to award-winning film director Priyadarshan, Oppam is a unique thriller, different from his previous movies.

To be released under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, the main attraction of the movie is the great comeback of Popular South Indian actress Vimala Raman into the Malayalam film industry. Meanwhile, Anusree also appears in a cameo role.

Some of the other leading actors of Oppam film are Samuthirakani, Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Mamukkoya, Renji Panicker, Aju Varghese, Kalasala Babu, Idavela Babu andChemban Vinod Jose.

Janatha Garage will be released on September 1 in both Telugu and Malayalam. Along with Mohanlal, Junior NTR also plays a crucial role in the movie.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Janatha Garage features Mohanlal, NT. Rama Rao Jr., Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. Meanwhile, Kajal Aggarwal will also play a special appearance in a song.
